Aircraft Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Frequented Southern California Shoreline
A helicopter hovering near a well-attended California coastline abruptly commenced twirling out of control, ultimately losing altitude and smashing into a row of palm trees as beachgoers watched.
Videos shared on social media show the aircraft beginning to twirl over the beach then descending towards the perimeter of the beach, where it becomes wedged between palm groves and a set of stairs near the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Update
Emergency responders said five individuals were transported to a medical facility comprising a pair who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the crash on the weekend.
Three persons on the road were harmed. Details on their injuries were not yet released.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.

Authorities mentioned the aircraft was associated with an yearly “Cars with Copters” benefit occasion scheduled for the following day.
