Paramount Skydance Will Eliminate Nearly 2,000 American Positions – News

Paramount Skydance is scheduled to initiate large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, removing nearly 2,000 US jobs within a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn overseen by CEO David Ellison.

These job cuts are a result of the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized this past August valued at $8.4bn.

Additional global layoffs are likely, with the company planning to disclose all specifics via its Q3 financial results on 10 November.

Previous updates stated that Paramount aimed to eliminate between 2,000 to 3,000 roles by the beginning of next month.

Until December 2024, Paramount employed almost 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 temporary project employees.

Paramount Skydance did not immediately respond regarding the report.
